Why not trust a 23+ yr company?

A growing number of Americans are seeking so-called green cleaners -- products made with natural, nontoxic, and biodegradable ingredients. Sales of natural cleaning products totaled $105 million in the last year. Some of these cleaners promise that they contain natural (instead of synthetic) agents, break down quickly in the environment, or pose less of a toxic threat to humans and ecosystems. But critics caution that just because the ingredients in green cleaners are plant-based or natural doesn't necessarily mean they're safe.
Although green cleaners may purport to list all ingredients, the market is largely unregulated -- which means consumers still must be wary of what's in the bottle. Even cleaning products labeled "natural" may contain some fraction of synthetic chemicals. Or they may contain natural ingredients consumers would rather avoid, such as petroleum distillates, some of which can cause cancer. And just because a cleaning product is biodegradable and made from plant-based sources doesn't mean that it is without potential adverse effects on health.Plant-based ingredients included in some green cleaners include limonene (a citrus-based oil), pine oil, and the foaming agent coconut diethanolamide -- all of which can cause allergic dermatitis. And a recent study of natural and nontoxic consumer products found the suspected cancer-causing chemical 1,4-dioxane in roughly half of 100 tested products -- including several dishwashing liquids with words such as "Earth friendly" and "eco" in their brand names.Consumer advocates have pressed for stricter labeling rules, but the industry has resisted, arguing that long lists of ingredients would create a distraction on product labels, drawing attention away from important safety information.

A Dear Friend sent this to me

This is from an e-mail I got from a good, sweet woman....

A Christian:

Several years ago, a preacher from out-of-state accepted a call to a church in Houston, Texas. Some weeks after he arrived, he had an occasion to ride the bus from his home to the downtown area. When he sat down, he discovered that the driver had accidentally given him a quarter too much change. As he considered what to do, he thought to himself, 'You'd better give the quarter back. It would be wrong to keep it.' Then he thought, 'Oh, forget it, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about this little amount? Anyway, the bus company gets too much fare; they will never miss it. Accept it as a 'gift from God' and keep quiet'.

When his stop came, he paused momentarily at the door, and then he handed the quarter to the driver and said, 'Here, you gave me too much change."

The driver, with a smile, replied, 'Aren't you the new preacher in town?'

'Yes' he replied.

"Well, I have been thinking a lot lately about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday."

When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, held on, and said, 'Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter.

'Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read. This is a really scary example of how much people watch us as Christians, and will put us to the test! Always be on guard -- and remember -- You carry the name of Christ on your shoulders when you call yourself 'Christian.'

Watch your thoughts; they become words.
Watch your words; they become actions.
Watch your actions; they become habits.
Watch your habits; they become character.
Watch your character; it becomes your destiny.

I'm glad a friend forwarded this to me as a reminder. So, I choose to forward it to you - my friend. God bless you; I hope you are having a wonderful day! If you don't pass this on to anybody, nothing bad will happen; but, if you do, you will have ministered to someone. The Will of God will never take you to where the Grace of God will not PROTECT you...Stay FAITHFUL and Be GRATEFUL.

A great leader on the Work at Home United Team shared this with me...

ALL PERSONAL GROWTH INVOLVES CHANGE
Personal growth is the process of responding positively to change. It involves risk as you step from the known to the unknown. All your growth will depend on your activity.Your strength and growth will come only through continuous effort and struggle. There will be no development without effort.Trouble is the common denominator of living. It is the great equalizer of life.Your trials, your sorrows and your griefs will develop you. When good or bad fortune comes your way,you must give it meaning and transform it into something of value. What happens to you is not as important as your reaction to what is happening.

Never Give Up, Never Surrender

For your home business -

SECRET RULE #1: DON'T QUIT! You cannot possibly fail in this business until you actually quit. Most people quit far too soon. You need to make at least a two year commitment to the business. The first three to six months will be the hardest. Not much in the way of gaining benefits from the power of geometric progression can takeplace during these months. It takes about a year to lay a solid foundation. It's at this point in time that normally some of the real benefits of geometric progression kick in. Many times your earnings will not be spectacular this first year. The second year yourearnings start to skyrocket as you have properly trained your people, and you have a good number out working and DUPLICATING the business.

SECRET RULE #2: LEAD BY EXAMPLE. Your organization will tend to do whatyou do. If you quit, they'll quit. If you slow down, they'll slow down. No one wants to work for a support line that is not committed to the cause. If you stop being enthused, they'll feel it and slow down. If you stop communicating, they'll feel it and slow down. If at any point your organization is not duplicating, you will more likely than not be the cause of it. Always look at what you're doing, and how well you do it. If you do it right, they will.

SECRET RULE #3: COMMUNICATE DAILY AND WEEKLY with your leaders. Normally, you need to communicate almost every day in the first few weeks with your new representatives. Make sure they are implementing the steps. Make sure there is weekly communication, or there is not enough activity and planning taking place to drive the business to success. Don't forget to communicate weekly with your best prospects. Network marketing is a business of relationships. If you are forming positive relationships with people, and building a relationship of trust, finding and enrolling customers will become an easy, natural by product of the relationship of trust you have built.

National Poison Awareness Week

For Immediate Release
Office of the Press Secretary
March 14, 2002
National Poison Prevention Week
Proclamation By the President of the United States of America
A Proclamation

In 1961, the Congress established the annual observance of National Poison Prevention Week. Forty-one years later, this event continues to educate Americans about the dangers of childhood poisonings and to promote measures that help prevent such poisonings. These measures and other poison awareness efforts have helped reduce deaths from childhood poisonings by more than 90 percent since 1962.

According to the American Association of Poison Control Centers, more than 1 million children each year are exposed to potentially poisonous medicines and household chemicals. In an effort to put an end to tragic accidents, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission requires child-resistant packaging for many medicines and household chemicals. But this special packaging is "child-resistant," not "child-proof." For this reason, it is essential to keep potential poisons locked up and away from children.

Members of the Poison Prevention Week Council, representing 36 national organizations, work every year to organize events during this special week to raise awareness of unintentional poisonings, as well as to illustrate the steps that can be taken to prevent them. Coalition members believe every poisoning is preventable. Group members encourage Americans to use and properly reclose child-resistant packaging, keep poisonous substances secured and out of the reach of children, and keep the poison center telephone number, 1-800-222-1222, nearby in case of an emergency. This new nationwide number connects callers to medical experts that provide immediate treatment advice for poison emergencies. These centers are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To encourage Americans to learn more about the dangers of unintentional poisonings and to take more preventive measures, the Congress, by joint resolution approved September 26, 1961, as amended (75 Stat. 681), has authorized and requested the President to issue a proclamation designating the third week of March each year as "National Poison Prevention Week."

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GEORGE W. BUSH, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim March 17 through 23, 2002, as National Poison Prevention Week. I call upon all Americans to observe this week by participating in appropriate ceremonies and activities and by learning how to prevent poisonings among children.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this fourteenth day of March, in the year of our Lord two thousand two, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and twenty-sixth.

GEORGE W. BUSH

Confidence and Love

I like to send my family copies of I Believe in Love. It's a personal retreat based on the writings of St. Therese. I always mention that it's not about the business, but about life. Well, I was wrong. It's about both! Having confidence in love, and trusting in love comes through to everyone else you meet. If I haven't sent you a copy, let me know and I'll get one out to you. If I have sent one, and you put it in your "pile of books to read" - put it on top of the stack! It has really changed our lives and will change yours too. If you don't have confidence and trust in God, you won't have confidence and trust in yourself. If you don't have confidence and trust in yourself, how can others trust you?
